What are flange block bearings?

Flange block bearings are right-angled bearings that support shafts that are positioned perpendicularly to the mounting surface. These types of bearings are designed with heavy load-carrying capacity and maintain the angle between the shaft and the mounting surface by preventing deflection that can cause vibration and damage.  

Types of flange block bearings

Based on the housing style, flange block bearings are available in the following types:

• Two-bolt flange mounted bearings: These types of flange block bearings feature two holes for mounting holes and are shaped like a diamond.
• Three-bolt flange mounted bearings: These types of flange block bearings possess three mounting holes, as the name suggests. The flange is often triangular in shape.  
• Four-bolt flange mounted bearings: These types of flange block bearings come with four mounting holes, with a typical square or round housing.
