What are magnets and magnetic strips?

Magnets, or flexible magnets, are cost-effective, permanent magnets engineered for use as fasteners & fixings across industrial, commercial, and residential environments. Specifically, magnetic strips are self-adhesive bonding tapes equipped with the power of permanent magnets. As such, they do not use any adhesive other than their magnetic force.

Best practices for buying magnets and magnetic strips

It is recommended that you consider the following before purchase:

• Depending on the application, you will need to consider the magnet’s strength. For example, if you are buying magnetic strips to use in packaging applications, then a normal flexible variety will suffice, but for heavier applications, such as for vehicle signage, you should consider a magnet with around 30 ML thickness.
• Consider the grade of the magnets & magnetic strips, for example, standard F1 grade magnets & magnetic strips for better strength and effective technical applications.
• Make sure that the magnets & magnetic strips you are purchasing can tolerate different temperature conditions. For instance, if you use a magnetic strip with a vinyl binder in temperatures above 120 degrees Celsius, then the magnet is at a higher risk of degradation. Hence, only use vinyl-bound magnetic strips in ambient temperatures.
