What are RFI / EFI / EMI noise filters? 

RFI / EFI / EMI noise filters, or radio-frequency interference filters/electromagnetic interference filters, are specialised electrical circuits capable of minimizing the electromagnetic noise commonly present in signal & power lines. The high-frequency electromagnetic noise, which is usually between 9KHz to 10GHz frequency range, is the result of different types of electronic & electrical devices like inverters, clock circuits, appliances, motors, electronic controls, etc. The filters help in preventing the electromagnetic noise from interrupting signal transmissions, thereby ensuring proper performance of electrical and electronic devices. 

Types of RFI / EFI / EMI noise filters

RFI / EFI / EMI noise filters are generally of three types:

• Single Phase Filters: These types of noise filters are available in 3 varieties, which suit general applications, applications with higher attenuation, and applications with the highest attenuation, respectively.
• Three Phase Filters: These types of filters are commonly used across pumping equipment, refrigeration, industrial equipment, HVAC, and VSDs. 
• Three Phase & Neutral Filters: These types of filters are similar to Three Phase Filters but are designed to establish a neutral connection.

Applications of noise filters

These noise filters are extensively used across different industry verticals. Their most typical applications are in panel accessories, computers, military equipment, aerospace systems, consumer-based appliances, medical devices, exercise equipment, factory automation equipment, energy systems.
