Take-up ball bearing units have a housing along with an insert bearing. They are generally mounted on take-up frames and are connected with an adjustment screw. The units can maintain belt tension and can also align conveyor tracks. They can be available with and without the eccentric locking collar. Many of them are made of cast iron.
One of its characteristics is that the take-up housings can accommodate at least the same static and dynamic loads as that of the insert bearing.
The take-up units find use where the varying axial loads or peak loads can occur. It is based on the condition that the adjustment screw strength used to adjust and locate the ball bearing unit position on the take-up frame is appropriate. The ball bearing unit must be securely locked onto the adjustment screw.
They are mounted on a take-up frame and are easy to maintain. Take-up ball bearings also have a higher service life, high operational reliability, and better thrust load tolerance.
The take-up ball bearing units have several applications across multiple industries. They are generally used in power transmission systems, food and beverage processing, and packaging. They also find use in elevator systems and conveyor systems.
